Objections & Conferences
Well, I haven’t been updating this like I promised. What a shock? I have a few longer posts I’ve been working on, but “real work” and spring break have been getting in the way. I’m heading out this afternoon to Chicago for a few days to attend AERA, and I’m unsure if my Internet access will be regular, spotty, or nonexistant.
So, I’ll leave you with a “mashup” (hate that term) of Jim Carrey and the awesome DS lawyer game Phoenix Wright.
My next post will be a longish one about Grindhouse, the most fun I’ve had in a theater in, like, a decade. I’m going to see it again tomorrow, before I go in to the conference.
If you’ve ever enjoyed trashy ’70s and early ’80s exploitation flicks, this is the movie to see — the fake trailers between the two films are some of the funniest stuff I’ve seen in a while. Go see Grindhouse right now else risk having your leg ripped off and replaced with a Kalashnikov.

Hi. Hope to run into you here at AERA. You might enjoy the panel on Wednesday at 12:25 called Communicating Your Research to the World. My part of the presentation provides an overview of new media tools like blogs, news feeds, podcasts, etc. in education communication. The other panelists will discuss presentation skills and editing and revising writing.

I’ll see if I can make it! I should at the very least be at the UW reception, so hopefully I’ll see you there!
